Two essential contributions to the history of Norwegian Black Metal, both recorded in 1994, Forgotten Woods’ “As The Wolves Gather” & “Sjel Av Natten” will become part of the ATMF’s collectors editions on a very special format: Digipak CD, 24-page booklet with unreleased photos and an early-days retrospective by Rune Vedda, Forgotten Woods’ former member. Rune will further contribute to this edition with additional notes to every song, explaining the band’s musical approach and concept.
These classics will finally achieve the editions they deserve. Any version still printed and sold by No Colours has to be considered as unofficial, not formally agreed with the band, which doesn’t get any kind of royalties. Therefore, Forgotten Woods invite all the fans to not support No Colours’ unofficial represses.
“ATMF has provided a glorious haven for Forgotten Woods to reside in for many years and will continue to do so in the future. There is no interest in dealing with other labels.

Die bedeutendsten Beiträge der Forgotten Woods für die Geschichte des norwegischen Black Metals “As The Wolves Gather” und die EP “Sjel Av Natten”, die beide 1994 aufgenommen wurden, werden in der Reihe “Cult” von ATMF in einer Form veröffentlicht, die ihrem geschichtlichen Wert nachkommt.
Es handelt sich um ein Digipak mit einem 24-seitigen Booklet mit unveröffentlichten Fotos der ersten Jahre der Band und einer umfangreichen Retrospektive von Rune Vedda zur Bedeutung der Erfahrung der Forgotten Woods, Anmerkungen und Kommentaren zu jedem Track und zur musikalischen Inspiration der Band. Die beiden Klassiker erscheinen somit endlich in einer angemessenen Ausgabe. Jede andere von No Colours gedruckte Ausgabe ist als nicht offiziell und als nicht von der Gruppe genehmigt zu betrachten. Die Gruppe erhält dafür außerdem keine Tantieme. Deshalb laden die Forgotten Woods alle Fans ein, diese Ausgaben zu ignorieren und nicht zu unterstützen.

Gli essenziali contributi alla storia del Black Metal Norvegese dei Forgotten Woods “As The Wolves Gather” & l’ep “Sjel Av Natten”, entrambi registrati nel 1994, saranno editi nella collana da collezione Cult di ATMF, in una forma degna del loro valore storico.
Sarà un Digipak il cui booklet di ben 24 pagine conterrà foto inedite dei primi anni di attività del gruppo e una ampia retrospettiva di Rune Vedda sul significato dell’esperienza Forgotten Woods, oltre a note e commenti per ogni canzone, sulla loro ispirazione concettuale e musicale.
Questi classici convoglieranno così finalmente ad una degna edizione.
Ogni altra edizione stampata invece attualmente da No Colours è da ritenersi non ufficiale e non autorizzata dal gruppo che tra l’altro non riceve alcuna royalty dalle stesse. Per questo motivo i Forgotten Woods invitano tutti loro fan a ignorare e a non supportare le stesse.
